Ready to get serious?

Thanksgiving and Christmas are over and so is the diet decadence. Now is the time to get serious! We strongly recommend you look into the Paleo Diet by Loren Cordain. This video is a nice breakdown of the what and why behind the Paleo Diet. Check it out. Also, Robb Wolf’s book “The Paleo Solution: The Original Human Diet” is a must read. Robb has done some phenomenal work and presents both the science behind the diet as well as layman’s explanations.

Stretching; the MOST glamorous part of your workout!

Okay, maybe not. But stretching is vital to your progress. Stretching improves flexibility. Sufficient flexibility improves athletic performance, increases range of motion, and allows you to maintain proper form, lessening chance of injury. So make time to stretch after EVERY workout. No exceptions!

Pedro nails a 225# Romanian Deadlift. When he started earlier this year he was doing sets with 42#! Think his back is a just a wee bit stronger and more resistant to injury?

Anthropo-what?

Neesha’s extra long femurs are a perfect example of how anthropometric differences affect form. They’re also a perfect example of why the expertise of a qualified strength coach who can spend quality time perfecting your form is so important. One year ago…

Wow! A year ago yesterday we signed our lease, and a year ago today we started our build-out.  In some ways it seems like yesterday, and in some ways it seems so long ago.  We remember looking at that beat-up room, full of antiques…  We were so excited but knew we had our work cut out for us.  Thanks again to all of those who have supported us over the past year.  We are blessed.

It’s always nice to have out-of-town guests.
